Summary

The NewCross Care Home will offer residential and dementia care in addition to short-term, respite care.

This care home is currently under development on the Prestwood Road and is due to open in June 2011. It is owned and will be run as part of the Avery Residential, Dementia & Nursing Care Homes group.

Avery Healthcare have provided residential and specialist dementia care for many years and endeavour to ensure consistently high standards throughout.

The Avery dementia education programme, Connect, helps families understand the needs of dementia sufferers and is a free add-on service for all participating families.

Aries, another Avery dementia scheme, is a programme which equips families and friends with the knowledge to help them cope with and manage dementia. This programme is freely available for anyone having a resident at one of the Avery care homes offering dementia care.
