Provider Quality Profile: Local Care Providers Online Comparison Tool (NHS Choices / Department of Health)

Summary

The Provider Quality Profile is an online tool which allows users to compare any Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered home care, residential or nursing home provider.

This resource is available online at NHS Choices, it having been launched as part of the Caring for Our Future white paper. Users may search for local providers within an area and link to relevant CQC reports and information about each provider.

According to the Department of Health, this service is being extended, in order to allow providers to include information about themselves including photographs of rooms, pictures of staff with short biographies, plus information about services such as visiting arrangements, pets and visiting clergy.
