Being a carer is a difficult and often undervalued role which usually incurs many financial hardships and sacrifices, and to this extent it is easy to sympathise with your point of view. The problems you highlight are the more paradoxical given that the Coalition Government wishes to make life easier for carers; refer to Recognised, Valued and Supported: Next Steps for the Carers Strategy (Department of Health).
