Risk Factors and Aetiology (NHS Evidence, Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Annual Evidence Update 2008)

Abstract

The 2008 Annual Evidence Update (AEU) , produced by NHS Evidence,  gives an overview of the most important evidence published during the period Spring 2007 – Summer 2008.

This section of the AEU is aimed at clinicians in primary care or general medicine. It covers the following topics:

  • Smoking
  • Obesity
  • Vascular and lifestyle factors
  • ApoE and Genetics of Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
  • Occupational exposure
  • Mild cognitive impairment
