Dementia Web: Dementia And Alzheimers Resources, Support And Information

Summary

Dementia web is a free web-based dementia information resource for the UK. It helps people with dementia, their carers and health professionals to find information about dementia and the support and care services available in the UK.

Dementia web is owned and managed by Guideposts Trust (Registered Charity Number 272619), which established a Dementia Information Service in 2003 for carers looking after someone with dementia at home, and subsequently launched this web-based information in 2005.

Dementia web is a collaborative project operated in conjunction with the Oxfordshire Dementia Forum. Members of the forum are Alzheimer’s Society, Age UK (Oxfordshire), SPECAL, Young Dementia UK and Guideposts.

Dementia web is a dementia web portal for the UK with a growing information base of localised information by counties. It offers readers summary information about dementia, local support services, available help and care options, with details about how to access this support and help.
