Summary

The Secondary Uses Service (SUS) is healthcare data warehouse which provides access to anonymous patient-based data for purposes other than direct clinical care. This facilitates reporting and analysis to support the NHS in the delivery of healthcare services, including:

  1. Healthcare planning.
  2. Commissioning services.
  3. Public health.
  4. National policy development.

SUS is delivered by the NHS Information Centre and NHS Connecting for Health
