Understanding Personal Health Budgets (Department of Health)

This leaflet explains the concept of personal health budgets for individuals, especially those with long-term conditions, and how these budgets are expected to be used by healthcare professionals, commissioners, and support organisations.

Everyone in receipt of NHS Continuing Healthcare will have a right to ask for a personal health budget, including a direct payment for healthcare, by April 2014.
