Ageing Across Europe (WRVS)

Summary

This Women’s Royal Voluntary Service (WRVS) research examines a range of indicators including health, wealth and levels of loneliness in four countries (the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Sweden). The UK was rated as falling in third position in terms of overall performance. This report makes recommendations including:

  • Annual government reports on Britain’s older population, benchmarking progress against other EU countries.
  • Confronting age discrimination in the UK.
