Dehydration in Older People Awareness Week 2012: DiOPW (NACC)

Summary

The National Association of Care Catering (NACC) is holding the annual Dehydration in Older People Awareness Week (DiOPW) between June 11th – 17th 2012.

“The aim is to draw attention to the importance of good hydration in a care setting. Good hydration enables service users to enjoy a good quality of life, and prevents many illness which can often lead to hospitalisation”.

A number of information resources and example leaflets are provided via this page. The intention is to provide information for carers, social care professionals and service users, with training aids to raise awareness.
