Dementia Without Walls Project (Joseph Rowntree Foundation)

The Dementia Friendly Communities Champion Group is investigating how to promote dementia-friendly social environments. One such scheme is “Dementia without Walls”, a Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) project aiming to establish York as a dementia-friendly city.

This project demonstrates the scope for supporting local communities, organisations and businesses to become more aware and understanding about dementia, and hence more inclusive. The Dementia Without Walls project will report in September 2012.
