CQC’c Market Report, Issue 1: June 2012 (Care Quality Commission)

Summary

The first Care Quality Commission (CQC) quarterly market report outlines the results of their inspection work. It provides a summary of the number of inspections carried out, where, what was found and the extent to which government standards are met across the services under scrutiny. The CQC’s inspection data has highlighted common issues of poor performance across a number of the different health and social care sectors:

  1. Management of medicines (17% of all locations inspected did not meet the required standard).
  2. Record keeping (15% of all locations inspected did not meet the required standard).
  3. Staffing (11% of all locations inspected did not meet one or both of two staffing standards).
