Dementia Champions in Scotland (Nursing Standard / BMJ)

Summary

The Scottish government plans to have 300 dementia champions by 2013. The champions are recruited from health and social care staff and given training which enables them to lead improvements in care. Supporters of the scheme say that these champions improve patient care.
