Guide for Clinical Commissioning Groups (Mental Health Strategic Partnership)

Summary

The Mental Health Strategic Partnership, in partnership with leading UK mental health charities, released a series of six briefings on World Mental Health Day with the aim of helping to develop better local mental health services. These briefings were commissioned by the Department of Health.

The briefings build on Government’s “No Health Without Mental Health” strategy and clarify how Local Authorities, Commissioning Groups, Directors of Public Health, Overview and Scrutiny Committees, Local Healthwatch, and Health and Wellbeing Boards can improve mental health care, treatment and support.

The CCG briefing, entitled “No Health without Mental Health: a guide for Clinical Commissioning Groups” explores the roles of local NHS commissioners.
