European Health at a Glance: 2012 (OECD)

Summary

This Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) report includes key indicators, from across 35 European countries, which summarise health status, determinants of health, health care resources and activities, quality of care, health expenditure and financing. The indicators selected are based on the European Community Health Indicators (ECHI) shortlist, which are widely used when reporting of health statistics in the European Union. This report also includes an appendix of additional indicators regarding health expenditure and quality of care, based on OECD criteria.

Of particular interest in this broad-ranging overview of international comparisons will be the section on dementia prevalence (p.44).
