Consultation on Additional Indicators for the 2014/15 Clinical Commissioning Group Outcomes Indicator Set (NICE)

Summary

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) is consulting opinion on the 32 CCG outcomes indicators for inclusion in the 2014/15 Clinical Commissioning Group Outcomes Indicator Set (CCGOIS); formerly known as the “Commissioning Outcomes Framework”. The consultation closes on March 1st 2013.

The CCG Outcomes Indicator Set is part of the NHS Commissioning Board‘s systematic approach to quality improvement in improving health outcomes. It will provide comparative information on the quality of health services commissioned by CCGs and the associated health outcomes; and support transparency and accountability to the public.

The CCGOIS maps across to indicators from the NHS Outcomes Framework. The indicators can be broken down at CCG level, and additional indicators to deliver improvements in quality might be added. NICE is supporting the NHS Commissioning Board by managing the development these additional indicators for the CCG OIS.
