NHS Commissioning Board Renamed as NHS England (NHS Commissioning Board)

Summary

The NHS Commissioning Board is about to change its name to NHS England, from April 1st 2013.  NHS England carries overall responsibility for a £95 billion NHS commissioning budget.

“The main aim of NHS England is to improve the health outcomes for people in England. It will set the overall direction and priorities for the NHS as a whole”.
