Falls Awareness Week this year is June 17 – 21st 2013. It will be used to highlight the risk of falls and to offer simple interventions to prevent falls.
Approximately 30% of over 65 year olds fall every year, and this figure increases to 50% in people aged over 80. More details are on the Age UK website.
