Sir David Nicholson, Chief Executive of NHS England, launched the “6Cs Live!” online hub at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospital NHS Trust.
This event took place at the Wolverhampton Medical Institute, and was timed to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the NHS.

Learning About the New Cross Hospital Dementia Project
Sir David Nicholson also visited the Dementia Care Ward at New Cross Hospital on this anniversary to see the 6Cs in action and learn about the department’s Dementia Outreach Team who help staff in other clinical areas to care for dementia sufferers. The Dementia Ward introduced person-centred care, focusing on three key issues: (i) the environment of care, (ii) nutrition and hydration and (iii) best possible communication.
