A Danish meta-analysis has been performed to assess the association of three clinical score systems with mortality in hip fracture patients. The clinical score systems with prognostic value for predicting mortality in hip fracture patients are: a high American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score of three or above, a Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) score of one or more, and / or an assessment of dementia.
