This briefing and policy statement from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) is a response to the Francis Inquiry report. It proposes changes to the culture of the NHS finance profession, which came under some criticism in the inquiry, and introduces a set of core principles and actions which should prevent any possibility of a focus on finance being given undue priority over patient care.
