Summary

Type 2 diabetes is associated with dementia and cognitive decline. This review discusses transitions into cognitive impairment and dementia in people with type 2 diabetes. The authors identify possible opportunities for intervention in people with type 2 diabetes, and opportunities for tailoring treatments to individual risk profiles.
