Silver Line: Friendship Phone Service Tackles Loneliness in Older People (BBC News)

Summary

Esther Rantzen has launched “The Silver Line”, a free 24-hour dedicated helpline for older people in the UK.

Silver Line will combat loneliness in the over-65s by providing friendship, information and advice through calls to trained volunteers. The phone number is 0800 4 70 80 90.
