This Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) report presents twenty “grassroots” dementia-friendly projects, which are examples of how communities across Yorkshire are being transformed along more dementia-friendly lines. The projects have been based in shops, churches, mosques, legal services, cafes, and in public services (for example transport, museums, hospitals, trading standards, schools, libraries, and sports centres). Local champions are integral to this work, making their local communities and organisations more supportive for people with dementia.
