This Birmingham Policy Commission report explores ageing well in a diverse multi-cultural society. It examines good health in later life in a social context of “super-diversity”. It recommends the creation of a “Commissioner for Older People” as a statutory post, to enshrine the importance of human rights within health and social care policy and promote the voice of older people.
