Healthcare Providers Supplying Misleading Information: Consultation (Department of Health)

Summary

The Care Bill 2014 will make it a criminal offence for healthcare providers to supply or publish false or misleading information. The offence in the Care Bill is wide in its areas of potential interpretation, so may be limited by secondary legislation to apply only to some providers and certain information.

The Department of Health is consulting on the proposals in Care Bill; this consultation document explains the proposed regulations.
