Assessment and Treatment of Dementia in Older Adults (NICE Eyes on Evidence)

Summary

A quick review of the latest evidence regarding the assessment and treatment of dementia in older adults. This systematic review indicates that brief cognitive assessment tools can adequately detect early dementia. Whether interventions for mild cognitive impairment or early dementia have a clinically significant effect is actually unclear still.
