Summary

Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE)’s “Commissioning Home Care for Older People” guide has been designed to help commissioners improve the assessment, planning, contracting and monitoring of home care services for older people with complex needs. This guide may also be useful for providers of care services.

This guide was developed using a co-production approach; the advisory group having been chaired by a carer. The main section headings comprise:
