Summary

This Public Health England (PHE) document covers the employment of public health professionals working as consultants in public health and directors of public health. These individual are included on the GMC Specialist Register / GDC Specialist List or the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists (and others). This guidance has been developed by the Local Government Association (LGA), PHE, the Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) and the Faculty of Public Health (FPH).
