Summary
Today is Older Peoples Day. People are living longer in the UK. It is estimated that 23% of people in the UK will be aged 65 and over by 2035. October 1st 2014 is a day to “celebrate the achievements and contributions that older people make to society”, and to tackle negative attitudes, stigma and outdated stereotypes.
