The Third Global Dementia Legacy Event, in Tokyo, took place between Wednesday November 5th – 6th 2014. Topics covered included innovative care solutions, assistive technology, and some further discussions about modifiable lifestyle risk factors. The recently launched “Dementias Platform UK (DPUK)” received a mention.

Discussions in Europe on Removing Barriers to Innovation in Drugs Development
Pharmaceutical regulators from ten countries met in Geneva in November for to discuss the scope of existing laws and regulations to support dementia research and drugs development. Regulators participating included the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), regulators from the European Union, the United States, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
