Latrepirdine for Alzheimer’s Disease: Systematic Review (Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews)


This systematic review investigated the potential of Latrepirdine as a disease-modifying intervention for Alzheimer’s Disease. The evidence suggests, so far, that Latrepirdine has no beneficial effect on cognition and / or function in patients.

The authors of this review pointed-out that their attempts at meta-analysis had been limited by the “small number of studies, imprecision, inconsistencies between studies and likelihood of bias”.
