Summary
This report assesses progress made against commitments in the “One Chance to Get it Right” report, which was released just over a year ago as a response to the Independent Review of the Liverpool Care Pathway (LCP) on improving care in the last days / hours of life.
The “One Chance to Get it Right: One Year On” report covers:
- The Care Quality Commission’s new inspection regime for end of life care.
- Recent NICE guidance.
- Improvements in education, training and research.
- Changes in professional regulation.
- Implementation of priorities specified in the “One Chance to Get it Right” report.
