The World Alzheimer Report 2015, entitled “The Global Impact of Dementia: An analysis of prevalence, incidence, cost and trends” updates Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI)’s global dementia statistics. This document reviews and analyses previous systematic reviews on the subject, and addresses the conflicting evidence concerning recent trends in the prevalence and incidence of dementia.
The broad societal impact of dementia is covered, with recommendations regarding a global framework for action on dementia.
