National Dementia Research Institute (DRI) Announced (MRC)


The national Dementia Research Institute (DRI) will be led by the Medical Research Council (MRC). The DRI is expected to receive up to £150 million in funding and be operational by 2020. It aims to link research across leading universities with the investment available though the Dementias Platform UK (DPUK) and complement the international research activity in the UK funded through the NIHR, research charities and industry.
