NHS Choices Comparison Website Now Covers Performance of All Care Homes (BBC News / NHS Choices)

Summary

The My NHS section of the NHS Choices website now permits the entire database of all care homes in England to be interrogated by the general public, for example when making decisions about the selection of a suitable care home (whether with nursing or without nursing).

The performance of each care home can now be assessed and compared more objectively, on the basis of scores for the level of safety, official CQC assessment ratings, staff turnover, food hygiene, and a variety of other standards (categorised broadly into either “Quality Indicators” or “Workforce Indicators”).
