Summary
The following Care Quality Commission (CQC) report reviews the extent and quality of people’s involvement in their health and social care. This review is based on analysis of the CQC’s national reports and inspection findings across different care sectors, and also national patient surveys. A literature review is included, with conclusions and recommendations for best practice. Over half of people now feel “definitely involved” in decisions about their care.
