NHS Right Care has released a further three sets of “Commissioning for Value” packs to help CCGs identify opportunities for improving resource allocation and value when designing services for local communities.
These Mental Health and Dementia, Cancer and Tumours, and Musculoskeletal (Trauma and Injuries) “focus packs” have been tailored for each CCG, to supply detailed information in these respective fields, with outcome measures and information on the most common diagnoses and interventions. These packs are designed to aid local planning with a focus on opportunities to improve health outcomes and resource allocation, while reducing health inequalities and unwarranted variations.

Cancer-Related Dashboard: Information for CCGs
NHS England and Public Health England have launched an online dashboard of cancer-related information to support CCGs and service providers. This tool enables the user to make comparisons, at CCG and provider level, with respect to one-year survival, patient experience and other data… The idea is to compare local performance against other similar organisations or the England average. This tool is a work-in-progress, with further developments expected shortly.
