Summary
A recent Nuffield Trust report, commissioned by NHS Employers, discussed providing NHS nursing, community and support staff with additional skills to deliver care, as a means to improving the system’s capacity to cope with increasing (and changing) patient demand. Challenges associated with the parlous state of NHS finances do not go unmentioned.
