Frailty: Core Capabilities Framework (Skills for Health)

Summary

Skills for Health have produced the Frailty Core Capabilities Framework. This framework was commissioned by Health Education England and NHS England, and aims to formalise the skills to provide high quality, holistic, compassionate care and support for persons with frailty as a long-term condition.

The Frailty Framework of Core Capabilities comprises 14 capabilities, grouped into four domains:

  • Domain A. Understanding, identifying and assessing frailty.
  • Domain B. Person-centred collaborative working.
  • Domain C. Managing frailty.
  • Domain D. Underpinning principles.
