Carers Rights Day 2019 took place on Thursday November 21st 2019. Research shows that two thirds of adults in the UK can expect to be unpaid carers. There is a 50:50 chance of becoming such a carer by the age of 50, but statistically the burden falls disproportionately on women.
“Half of women will care by the age of 46, compared to half of men who can expect to care at 57”.
