Safer Surgery: Developments From the NHS England Never Events Taskforce Report

Summary

NHS England has issued a Patient Safety Alert concerning the launch of an NHS programme based on the National Safety Standards for Invasive Procedures (NatSSIPs).

NHS providers are required to review clinical practice and ensure NatSSIPs are central to local surgical practice, by developing Local Safety Standards for Invasive Procedures (LocSSIPs).
